Alabama Shakes & JJ Grey and Mofro at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Hey Red Rocks…
This one is for the ragers, the shakers, the ones who feel something deep in their chest when roots rock takes over the stage. We’re not here to fight anymore. We’re here to remind you why we fell in love with everything Alabama — the grit, the soul, the fire in every lyric. And this time, you don’t have to travel south to find it. Alabama Shakes are coming to Red Rocks, and they’re ready to make the mountains echo.

Two Nights You Won’t Forget

Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25
Tickets are on sale now, starting at $101 for the second night.

If you were there last time, you remember how fast it sold out.
If you weren’t, this is your second chance.

Alabama Shakes: The Return We’ve Been Waiting For

Formed in 2009 in Athens, Alabama, Alabama Shakes built their name the hard way — bar by bar, show by show, pouring everything they had into every performance. From the very beginning, it was clear that Brittany Howard’s voice wasn’t ordinary. It was powerful, raw, almost spiritual. Alongside guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell, they created a sound that felt both timeless and urgent.

Their debut album, Boys & Girls (2012), earned three Grammy nominations and launched them onto the world stage. Suddenly, what started as late-night bar gigs turned into global tours and packed venues filled with fans who connected to their honesty.

Then came Sound & Color in 2015 — bold, fearless, genre-defying. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and brought home three Grammy wins. The band had reached a new peak, sharper and more daring than ever.

And then, just as quickly, they stepped away.

Eight years of silence. Eight years that only made their return more powerful. When they finally came back, they sounded refined, focused, and stronger than ever. Their recent performances have carried a new intensity — the kind that only comes from time, growth, and unfinished stories.

Now, they return to Red Rocks to begin Summer 2026 with two nights that promise to be unforgettable. The last show sold out. This one will not be any different.

JJ Grey & Mofro: Southern Soul Beneath the Stars

Joining Night Two is JJ Grey & Mofro, bringing their unmistakable blend of Southern rock, swamp funk, blues, and heartfelt storytelling.

For decades, JJ Grey has built a loyal following through relentless touring and songs that feel lived-in and deeply personal. Tracks like “Lochloosa,” “Orange Blossoms,” and “The Sweetest Thing” carry a warmth that feels almost sacred in an open-air venue. And there is no stage more fitting for that sound than Red Rocks.

It will be their debut at this iconic amphitheater — and the Colorado sky will be the perfect backdrop for their Southern spirit.
